A group blog for working on UnRuly Quilting projects and most especially UnRuly Letters. What is UnRuly? Liberated, wonky, improvisational, mis-matched, points cut off FUN.

Welcome

Hi, it's Tonya aka Lazy Gal aka The UnRuly Quilter. In the past I've always set up a separate blog for challenges and Get Togethers, but I've decided to just roll it all into one blog, which will change and grow over time. The rules are to be nice, be helpful (critiques and suggestions are good, being mean is right out), and have fun. Oh and stay on topic.

If you're new to making letters, this is a great place to come for help, advice and to show off your work.

Please join us. At least I'm assuming there will be an "us" - right now I'm here all by myself.... At least in the blog. At home I've got all four kitties nearby enjoying the sunshine.

I'm here in your empty room and waiting to see who else comes in your door. I can't promise a bah or a hum or even a bug, but I'd like to hang around and look over everyone's shoulders and even help push pedals or pick up scraps.

I'm nice, and I'm helpful, and I always have fun where ever I go. And I promise I will not bring my fly swatter....well unless you decide to make me the SeArGeaNt@ArMs and then I will provoke major unrulyness and bee a total bah hum bug, anyway I can;)

We have to stay on topic? Oh, dear. I just fell of my visitor's chair.

You know how I am with Word Play! I flit, I flutter, I scoop down, and stutter. But I'm good at that....and I sure need to learn how to be a better pieces keeper ;) quiltingjourney@gmail.com

you are such a hoot, Michele. By topic I mean UnRuly Quilts and Liberation and improvisation etc etc etc. Not the place to blog about tv watching (which you know I love dearly). I'm sure you'll be very helpful and not swat us all down like little bugs.

Okay, I've come over to your new home/blog just to be sure that you know I want in on the new fun. I am excited to begin exploring the possibilities and I love the colors for the latest bug-gie challenge.

I received your book in the post this morning and have just started piecing my first letters, different words for blue to go around a blue string quilt inspired by Soscrappy's Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I can't promise any words or letters for anything else yet, but I'm certainly going to add this blog to my blogroll for inspiration and encouragement, and you never know what might happen.

Tonya, I'm in ... for now, I'm focused on a different UnRuly project (turning Lynne's orphans into a quilt) ... okay to post about that here?

Love that you chose April 1 as the deadline for Bah Humbug!

I'm like to join in, Tonya, with a good strong BAH! Clare and Michele are friends of mine at Lib-Quilters and they are sooo good at liberation--I've learned a lot from them and from your blog and book.
I'm at villagequilterATgmailDOTcom.
