My first letters

I had yet to discover Tonya's Lazy Gal groups when I began this quilt, so I was on my own in the beginning.  My niece likes funky, fun fabric and colors and he likes the Beatles (the singing group - not the bugs). This is my take on their wishes for a "snuggle" quilt.   I have it completed, washed and ready to give to the couple. Here is the front of the quilt.  I have now learned a bit about watching my contrasts more closely, so that the letters will show up well.

And here is the back of the quilt.

Now I am off to work on some humbugs.

It looks like you captured their personalities perfectly? What a wonderful gift, to get a quilt that is so fun and so personalized.
You did great! :)

Love it, Mary. both sides have so much personality. That stinking contrast - sometimes you have to learn the hard way. I've unfortunately made quite a few letter quilts that are practically unreadable because of that. sigh.

Great quilt and sentiments! Bet your Niece loved it. Nicely done.
I can't wait until I can check out your new book. I haven't seen any up in my neck of the woods yet but I am on the lookout for it and will snap it up when I can. Congratulations! Jane
