Liberated top

I finished a top, it's definitely unruly and it has letter's included, so I thought I post it here too :-)

AAQI

In July there will be at least 3 AAQI quilts for auction made by members of this group ! Brenda and Sujata's quilts are in there and I'm so happy my liberated 9-patch is there too.

Liberated 9-Patch

It's finished and registrated. Now I have to wait for the number and then I will send it in May.
I removed the stitching in the small nine-patches and replaced it with new stitching with  embroidery floss. Then I added the circles in the purple patches , now I think it's way better. Thank you for your suggestions !

Making small quilts is fun, this won't be the last one :-)

Does it need more stitching ?

So this is it, my very big quilt  ;-)   Ready to be bound  or maybe... should I add more stitching ?
This one will be donated to the AAQI.

Which colour ?

In real I like the red one best, when I look at the photos I prefer the green background .

Playing in the snow

Hi,
thanks Tonya for challenging us again :-)

Though I have far too many UFO's and WIP's and whatever you want to call them, I want to play along.
But I've decided to work small this time, maybe I can stay within the limits of an AAI-Quilt. We'll see.

Here's my inspiration quilt:  http://www.pbase.com/brownsf/image/85043435
and another one from the last challenge: http://lazygallibamish2010.blogspot.com/2011/12/finished.html

So maybe I will just make one double nine patch and here's a small start:

A more or less unruly top

When I discovered the quilting world in the www I ran over a newsgroup called R.C.T.Q and spent several years there :-)  Once a year Jessamy of the Netherlands hosted  a star swap. You had to send six 6,5" blocks with blue background and yellow star pattern. I participated 3 or 4 years, pieced a lot of additional stars and ended with a top that I think is too small. So I pondered about a big spikey border or about more stars until finally this idea was born:

Maybe you can guess the name I've chosen for this coming quilt ;-)

The sashing strips and yellow corner squares are all from stash and I didn't care a lot about matching points there. So this and the letters are the unruly part, most of the stars don't fit in this category,  but a few can count as unruly as well :-) For the border I hope to use up my blue and black fabrics in my stash. Gotta make some place for new stuff ! Oh, and I know, the g is missing ...

Big Love

... working on a wedding quilt

Love measures 45" x 51"  :-)), I'll add 'all you need is' , the rest of the top will be white. It has to be finished in May, so I better continue sewing ....

Bah ! from Heidi

Hi, I'm Heidi and I think I played along with nearly every challenge Tonya made and so I'm here again, too.

When Tonya called for bugs I wasn't quite sure, if I had fabric with bugs in my stash, but finally all those year when I forced myself to buy fabric <g> paid off... I had bugs patiently waiting to be used.

So I could use them for my block. Although I must say I'm a little bit intimitaded by all the talent and great ideas here and all I've made is a simple 'bah'. But maybe it is useful as a filler .

Tonya, I'm not quite sure, if yellow as background colour is ok, if not, please tell me.
